Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary

Close to Boston, Drumlin Farm is a working farm with the normal array of animals - horses, goats, pigs, and other farm animals. It has many enclosures and cages for native wildlife. A large enclosure holds some white tail deer, and a row of very large bird enclosures hold a number of species, such as a hawk, turkey vulture, and others. They have an exhibit for burrowing animals - skunks, foxes, and others - including a display built underground to show the dens. Several miles of trails run through it's 232 acres, within the farm area and fields, along several ponds and some wooded areas.

Features

Native wildlife, white tail deer, foxes, large birds, butterfly garden.

Notes & Comments

Drumlin Farm is unlike any other Mass Audubon site. It's a farm, and a zoo for native wildlife. It's not terribly scenic, though there are a number of things that are interesting. Wildlife in controlled situations might make this worthwhile.
